The
Club was founded in the summer of 1983 and started with an open
invitation to
a training session on the public open space at the bottom of Silverdale
Park.
Some of those founders, along with others who joined in later years,
contributed substantially to the development of the Club, defining
the Rules by which the Club is governed and establishing a culture
of saving through Central Fund.
